Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a Luna County or New Mexico government office. We cannot verify custody, release a detainee, post bond, or retrieve an official booking file. Contact the government office that holds the record.

Official Luna County Contacts

Choose the contact by custody system and record type. A missing name on the live roster does not prove community release, and the county, state, court, federal, and juvenile routes are not interchangeable.

Luna County Detention Center

1700 E. Fourth St.
Deming, NM 88030

Phone: 575-544-0191

Call about adult facility procedures or the agency responsible for a current custody placement. The official Luna County roster lists current detainees, not a complete release archive.

Luna County Government

700 S. Silver Ave.
Deming, NM 88030

Phone: 575-546-0494

Use the official Make A Data Request form to seek an archived booking sheet, release report, written release authority, or existing date-bounded release log. The New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act does not require the county to create a list that does not already exist.

New Mexico Corrections Department

4337 NM 14
Santa Fe, NM 87508
P.O. Box 27116
Santa Fe, NM 87502-0116

Inmate Records: 505-690-9790
Probation and Parole: 866-416-9867
Reentry Division: 505-500-9347

Use the NMCD Offender Search for a person committed to state custody. Written NMCD records requests go through the NMCD request portal. NMCD does not hold Luna County jail files. The New Mexico Adult Parole Board decides parole, while NMCD supervises parole and probation.

New Mexico VINE: 877-551-8463, press 0 for an operator.
NMCD Victim Services: 877-842-8464, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain; CDVictimsrvcs@cd.nm.gov.

Luna County Courts

District Court, Sixth Judicial District
855 S. Platinum Ave., Deming, NM 88030
575-546-9611 ext. 0
demdadmin@nmcourts.gov
Court: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; clerk: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Luna County Magistrate Court
912 S. Silver St., Deming, NM 88030
575-546-9321
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lunch closure.

The district court handles felony cases. Magistrate Court handles misdemeanors, DWI and traffic matters, and early felony stages. Request a filed judgment, dismissal, release order, or probation discharge through the New Mexico Courts IPRA portal. Statewide court help is 855-268-7804, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Use the route that matches the question:

  • For a named adult released from the county jail, begin with the full Luna County release search and records path.
  • For supervision after release, consult Parole & Probation and NMCD.
  • For people released today, use the 24-Hour Release List fallback steps because Luna County publishes no labeled recent-release feed.
  • For timing or alerts, compare the Projected Release Date and VINELink Check resources.
  • For the adult facility or protected juvenile function, select the proper facility page in the footer. Juvenile names and records are not public adult-roster material.
  • For a state prisoner, use NMCD. For a federal sentence use the Bureau of Prisons locator; a federal pretrial placement may instead require the federal court or U.S. Marshals Service. Immigration custody uses the ICE locator.
